July 8th, 2023

This visit coincided with the feast of Blessed Peter To Rot of Papua New Guinea. His feast is celebrated on 7th July. As our chaplain, Fr. Michael Sims MSC spent many years in New Guinea, it was very special to have this celebration deferred for a day in order to have a beautiful Island choir.

It was a solemn celebration the choir was magnificent. Our chapel was full and the Residents are still talking about how beautiful the Mass was, and of course, Fr. Michael was transported back to his many happy years in Papua New Guinea.

At 2p.m the group entertained the Residents with song and dance. They have integrated the beautiful Samoan cultural entertainment into evangelizing with beautiful songs of praise and thanksgiving to the uncoditional love of the Divine Mercy.

The Residents feet were moving, hands were clapping and faces were smiling.

The farewell message was "Come back soon"
