Apostolic Nuncio for the Pacific
His Excellency Bishop Novatus Rugambwa, Apostolic Nuncio for the Pacific came to American Samoa to attend the Episcopal Ordination of Bishop Kolio Etuale on 4th November 2022
He then traveled to Apia, Western Samoa. The highlight of his schedule for us, was his visit to our Home, Mapuifagalele on 11th November 2022.
Our Chaplain, Father Sefo Poai, concelebrated Mass with his Excellency and welcomed him on our behalf.
In response, the Nuncio delivered the Blessings of Pope Francis.
After Mass, the Nuncio breakfasted with the community and then met with the Residents who were ready to entertain him with song and dance, true Samoan style.
I pray that the charism of the Little Sisters of the Poor may continue in this Home where lives are cared for, respected and protected.
